OOPS! A little late - never posted this one!

Ok, do you hate me for this? LOL! I've been busy with some commisioned work, but I remembered I had this Tilda that I did for Easter and never posted. Yes, I know Easter is long over, but I still like how it turned out and wanted to show you.
The precious Tilda in striped stockings and the Easter Egg are both available for purchase at Magnolia-licious. Be sure and pop over there and check out what Diana's store is all about. She offers free shipping to the US and Canada, no matter how big or small the order! How cool is that?!! Free shipping ROCKS!

That cute tag is from a set of downloadable stamps from The Cutting Cafe'. DP is by Melissa Frances. I love that line of paper. Such pretty prints! Stamps were colored with copic markers. The scalloped squares were cut with my Cricut Expression and the Storybook cartridge.

Sorry....I promise that this will be the last Easter card I post until next year! LOL! Thanks for stopping by today, and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

Bitten By The Bug Challenge and a blog hop

This blog candy is now closed. Thank you for playing!

Hi everyone! Sure hope you had a wonderful weekend, and now it's to deal with another Monday! There is one bright spot in Monday, and that's because it's time to reveal the new Bitten By The Bug challenge. And this week, we're doing something a little different. We're having a blog hop with some blog candy up for grabs!! Fun stuff, huh??!! So read all the way to the end of this post for details.
This weeks challenge was to use any cut from the Doodlecharms cartridge, but we had to use the border cut. I chose the watermelons, just cause I think they're so darned cute! I like the long cards, but don't make them very often. This challenge was perfect for utilizing that shape.

The paper is Dreamy 2 by My Minds Eye, and the cardstock is Bazzill. I added a bow with a Prima flower and a Making Memories brads, and the book plate was cut with my Fabulous Finds cartridge.
Now for the blog candy details. Be sure and leave a comment on this post for a chance to win this Sizzix die (plus a few other little goodies thrown in). If you don't have a Sizzix machine, you can use it in your Cuttlebug. Just don't use your A plate. Put the Sizzix die with your paper inbetween the two B plates and run it through your Cuttlebug and voila! When you're done here, go visit Nikki Duey's blog. She's got some candy waiting for you too! And be sure and check out her awesome creations while you're there. Nikki's work with the Cricut and papercrafting is just unbelievable! Her work is even featured in the infomercial you see all the time on TV!! Plus she's got some WICKED stamping skills! Can you tell I'm a huge fan?? :) I will use random.org to choose a winner Wednesday evening.
That's it for today! Don't forget to visit Bitten By The Bug and play along with our challenge this week. Thanks for coming by to see me today, and I hope to see you back again soon! HUGS

Whirling flowers Tilda

Happy Saturday everyone! Hope you're enjoying your weekend! It's windy and quite chilly here this weekend. We had temps in the high 80's last weekend, and last night it was snowing. BRRRR!!!
For this card, I used the Whirling flowers Tilda that I received from Magnolia-licious, and colored her with my Copic markers. I put my markers away, so don't know all the colors (sorry!) But I can tell you that her dress is colored with Coral and Strong Red, and her face is my standard E00, along with E02 and R20. I just really love this little Tilda as she reminds me of the way the winds blow here in Nevada. I cut her out using my Nesties. I was putzing around my LSS store this week, when my eyes caught sight of this paper and WOW!

I just immediately fell in love with it! It's Dreamy2 line by My Minds Eye. I used Enchanting "My Love" Cherry Blossoms/Red Pin Stripe paper. Added some Prima flowers, Making Memories brads, pearls by Kaiser, and a button from my stash. The red ribbon is SU. I also used a new border punch I got this week by Fiskars. Love it!!

So that's it for today! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and sure hope to see you back again soon! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!! HUGS!

3 Clovers Thursday Challenge

Happy Thursday everyone, or as I love to call it, Happy Friday Eve!! WOOHOO! One more day and then the weekend. I do love my weekends! But right now, Thursdays mean that it's time for the reveal of the new challenge over at Three Clovers Designs! This weeks theme is "It's a zoo around here". How fun is that?!
I chose to use my cute little ellie from the Dr Peanut set from Our Craft Lounge. I just love this poor little sick ellie! I colored him up with my copic markers and cut him out with my nesties. Then I mounted it on a really cool half circle shaped card from The Cutting Cafe'. Isn't the shape of it awesome??!! I truly love Regina's cutting files!

I added a big pink gingham bow centered with some Prima flowers and that beautiful little rose in the center was a wonderful gift from my seriously talented DT sistah Jacque. Thanks Jacque! The DP is by Imaginisce (love it!!) and cardstock is Bazzill.

Colors of copics used: RVOO, RV32, G21, G24, G09, B41, R46
Please be sure and visit Three Clovers Designs to see the rest of the talented inspiration teams projects, then grab your paper, glue, and animals, and play along. Don't forget to go visit Regina over at The Cutting Cafe' to check out her seriously awesome downloadable stamps and her cutting files too.

Bitten By The Bug meets Peggy Loves Vintage!

It's Sunday night, that means it's time to reveal a new challenge for you for Bitten By The Bug! This one not only includes a cut from our fabuluos Cricut machine, it also contains a vintage image from Peggy Loves Vintage. Peggy is sponsoring a contest over at Bitten By The Bug. If you love vintage images, I promise you will LOVE Peggy Loves Vintage!

Regina gave us four images to choose from, and asked us to use the image with the lnchbag cut from the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge. I simply printed the image off my computer in two different sizes. I backed the tag with two scalloped cuts from my Storybook cartridge, one in green and one in blue. I edged the bag with a Martha Stewart border punch and machine stitched around the bag.

For the matching card, I once again cut out a scalloped frame with my Storybook cartridge to mat the image. You are going to be amazed at how quickly you can make up a project with these images. You just print, and embellish! It's amazingly fast and easy! On the card, all I added was some hand doodling around the scalloped frame, and a blue gingham bow. That's it!

Please hop over to Bitten By The Bug to see what the rest of the fabulous design team came up with for this challenge. And then grab your paper and glue and decorate up a lunchbag cut to play along. And don't forget to visit Peggy Loves Vintage to check out her awesome images on cd. She also offers the images via download.
This set will soon be for sale in my etsy shop.
Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon!

Card for mom with Tilda by Magnolia

Oh my gosh....I just finished watching the movie "Marley and Me". I'm tellin ya....I sobbed like a baby, but what a great movie! I loved it! If you watch it, be sure and have some tissues close by! Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! The weather is beautiful and I'm loving every minute of it! I actually got to wear capris today! YAY!! Here's a card I put together for Mother's Day, but it could actually be used for any day for your mom, mother-in-law, or mother figure in your life. To make it I used FIVE, yes FIVE Magnolia stamps! I think that's a record for me! LOL!
This was my very first shot at masking, so please tell me, how did I do??? I masked the shabby chic fence and stamped the spring tree. WOOHOO! I was so proud! LOL! Tilda, along with the new bench, and the sun, were all stamped and cut out. The bench is popped up off the card and so is Tilda of course. The Magnolia stamps are available at Magnolia-licious. I came soooo close to try airbrushing the background in blue for the first time ever, but was too afraid. Now I definitely wish I had. The background is WAY too flat for me. Oh well...can't win them all, huh?

The oval sentiment stamp is from an awesome HUGE set of downloadable stamps "ALL ABOUT MOM" that is available at The Cutting Cafe'. This set is amazing and I can't wait to use it more. I stamped the Magnolias with my Memento ink and colored them with Copic markers. The DP is Enchanted Forest by Imaginisce, and cardstock is Bazzill. That pretty pink pearl in the center of the bow is by Kaiser.

There's a big special going on right now over at The Cutting Cafe'! Of you purchase the ALL ABOUT MOM stamp set, you get to choose two other sets of Regina's stamps FOR FREE!!! That's right....FOR FREE!! The special runs through midnight Tuesday, so be sure and pop over there and take advanctage of it.
That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by to see me, and hope to see you back again soon. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! HUGS!

A gift for your shower - Peggy Loves Vintage

YAY!!! We made it to Friday! WAHOO!! LOL! It's the little things, right? :) Hope you all are getting some nice spring weather, and have a wonderful weekend planned! The weather here is supposed to be absolutely beautiful, and I can't wait to get out and enjoy it. We have had the full spectrum of weather this week. It went from 70 deg last weekend, to snow and icy cold weather mid week, back to close to 80 by the end of this weekend. Oh my! LOL!

This card was made with an adorable image from Peggy Loves Vintage. Peggy is my sister, and she collects vintage cards and then scans them onto cd's for all of us crafters to use in our projects. This is another one of those "15 minute cards" ! I used scraps out of my bin, printed off one of the adorable images from Peggy Loves Vintage, popped it onto a scalloped background and embellishedwith a few photo corners and a ribbon. Easy Peasy!!

If you love vintage images, I promise you will LOVE Peggy's shop!! Hop on over there and take a look at the huge variety of images she has available. You will not be disappointed! This card will soon be available in my etsy shop.

Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

What's the buzz?

Oh my goodness, we had some really beautiful weather today! It was sunny, warm, and gorgeous!! And then tomorrow.......we're supposed to have SNOW!! YUCK! And then back up in the 70's by the weekend! Welcome to springtime in Northern Nevada! LOL!

I have been wanting to use this cute little Tilda in her ball cap since I got her. Well I finally got the chance to ink her up! I actually used three different Magnolia stamps that are available at Magnolia-licious. Tilda herself, the fence, and the bees which are a part of the new Chasing Butterflies collection. I used Memento ink (which is now also available at Magnolia-licious) to stamp the images, then colored them with my Copic markers. Oops! I just noticed I forgot to color the tops of the tongues on the tennies! Off to fix THAT little mistake! LOL!

Tilda is cut out and popped up off the card with pop dots. I cut off the stamped rope, and replaced it with a piece of some kind of thick twine like stuff that I had in my stash. Flowers are Prima, tag is Cuttlebug, brads are Making Memories.
Don't forget to go check out the TWO FOR ONE sale going on right now over at The Cutting Cafe'! It's good until midnight Tuesday night!
Thanks for stopping by to see me and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

Stationary box card set from The Cutting Cafe made with Tilda by Magnolia stamps

This set is for sale in my etsy shop. Happy Easter everyone! Hope you're having a wonderful day filled with lots of fun! This is a really fun set of cards that is going to make a pretty cool gift (at least I think so!). The AMAZING box is from The Cutting Cafe, which is having an awesome TWO FOR ONE sale that is going on until midnight on Tuesday, April 14th! For every set you purchase, you can get one of equal or lesser value for FREE!
This stationary set is so amazing! It comes with the box, card templates, and even envelope templates with liners!! How cool is that??!! For this particular set, I just used the box, but I can't wait to use the card templates with the envelopes and liners too! The box will hold up to six standard A2 cards and envelopes! I only put five because they're pretty thick with embellishments. The box top comes where you can cut it out solid, or with three different cutouts, the rectangle (like this one), round, or frame. I just lined the opening with a sheet of acetate so you could see the cards on the inside.

To make this set, I used stamps from Magnolia-licious. Two of them are from the brand new Chasing Butterflies collection that is now available for preorder. All of them are stamped, colored with my Copic markers, and cut out and popped up for dimension. The only exception to that one is Tilda with balloons. All of the ovals were cut out with my nestabilites, and most were embossed with my Cuttlebug and swiss dots embossing folder. The paper is by DCWV and cardstock is Bazzil. The little tags are from a Cuttlebug die. So now I'll just hush up and let you look through the individual cards. Hope you like them!

Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and I hope you and your family are having a Blessed Easter holiday. Please be sure and visit The Cutting Cafe to take advantage of the awesome sale!! And don't forget to visit Magnolia-licious for your Magnolia stamps! They have the best selection in North America, and offer free shipping for any order in the US and Canada! Thanks again and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

Tilda with tulips in Church window

YAY!!!! We made it to Friday thank goodness! It was a pretty tough week at work, so I'm extra happy to see this week come to an end!! Sure hope you're not tired of seeing Easter cards yet! I used some of the new Magnolia stamps from the Easter collection that I got from Magnolia-licious. I set Tilda with tulips inside the church window.
I colored the stamps with my Copic markers and cut them out. Tilda is popped up from the window for some added dimension. The circle card and matching envelope are cut with my Expression machine using the Wild Card cartridge. DP is Basic Grey.

I added a couple Prima flowers with some brads by Basic Grey, threaded some ribbon through the scalloped edges, and that completed this one.

Be sure and join the Magnolia-licious Yahoo group for lots of fun and special discounts! And don't forget that Diana now offers FREE SHIPPING for all orders in the US and Canada!!! Thanks for stopping by to see me today! Have a fabulous Friday!!

Three Clovers Designs Thursday challenge

EDIT: What can I plead other than stress and old age? I guess I just had a total brain fart, I don't know. I apologize to Kerry for posting this a day early. Maybe I was trying to rush the week...what can I say other than I'm a complete moron! You can see all the rest of the teams work TOMORROW when it's really THURSDAY over at Three Clover Designs. UGH!!
It's Thursday, and that means it's time for Three Clovers Thursday! This week, Kerry challenged us to a color challenge, to use So Saffron, Rose Red, and Always Artichoke. Well, I didn't have the slightest idea what colors those were, so Kerry so graciously sent me the cardstock to use! Thanks Kerry! I've had this adorable stamp from Lelo Designs by Stampavie for a little bit, and hadn't had a chance to use her til now. I colored her with my Copic markers. The DP is Basic Grey and I cut out the ovals with my Nestabilities. The tabs and tag were cut with my Cricut.

Please be sure and visit Three Clovers Designs to check out what the rest of the talented inspirational team came up with, and then grab your cardstock and glue to play along! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon!

Bitten By The Bug challenge for this week - Happy Birthday from Hello Kitty

Well, better late than never, I guess, huh? This was my take on the challenge over at Bitten By The Bug this week. The challenge is to use the Happy Birthday cut from the Hello Kitty Cricut cartridge. One of the neat features of this cartridge is that it will cut the shape into a card. Cool, huh? That's exactly what I did. This card was EASY PEASY! The balloons were cut from the same cartridge.

I used Bazzil cardstock and then also used some glitter cardstock from DCWV. That along with some doodling and a couple little pieces of ribbon, and this card was done! We'd love it if you would visit Bitten By The Bug and join in the fun! Don't forget to check out what the rest of the fabulously talened DT came up with for this cut! Thanks for stopping in to see me, and I hope to see you back again tomorrow when I'll have another challenge card to show you. Have a wonderful evening!
