Stamp and Create new Product Spotlight - Sweet November Stamps

Happy hump day! We're halfway to the weekend! There's a new product spotlight over at Stamp and Create this week, and it's the Sweet November stamps! All Sweet November stamps are on sale for 25% off through Sunday, August 1st! These stamps are so much fun! I chose to use the image Darby and Skip.

They're colored with Copic markers and Skip is cut out and popped up from the card with dimensional tape. The bow is made with May Arts silk ribbon along with the Bow Easy. For the sentiment, I added one of Tim Holtz word sticks that says "time" with a ticket that was stamped with a ticket stamp set by Autumn Leaves, and then I ran the ticket through my computer for the "4 fun" sentiment.  Right along the top of the horizontal panel, I added a string of  Kaiser pearls.

Card base and matting cardstock is Bazzil, and the DP is from a stack I have. The punched corners on the image mat and horizontal mat are punched with a Martha Stewart punch around the page set. Of course I had to add one lonely little flower as an accent. LOL! I hope you enjoyed my card today, and please be sure and visit Stamp and Create to take advantage of the sale!! And pop over to the Stamp and Create Blog to check out the amazing creations presented by the design team. And don't forget to participate in the chllenge while you're there!  This is my last card as a guest designer for Lacey's store, so I want to send out a special thank you to her and to the fabulous ladies on her design team. They're all amazing artists and wonderful people! I have truly enjoyed my stay. Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Papertake Weekly sketch #45 challenge

Woohoo!! We made it through Monday, and now it's time for a new Papertake Weekly challenge. This week, it's a sketch challenge by the fabulously talented Dawny and  we're being sponsored by the awesome Simon Says Stamp.  I chose to use one of the beautiful Tilda's from the Fairytale Collection from Magnolia-licious. She's #382 Lady Tilda, and I think she just exudes elegance! She's colored with Copic markers. I also used the new Vintage tag from the assortment of Doohickey Dies made by Magnolia. They work so beautifully in my Cuttlebug.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts , paper is Basic Grey Cappella, and the ribbon is May Arts silk ribbon. I added some stickles to the flowers, but I'm wishing now that I'd gone with Shimmerz instead. The stickles just wasn't the look I was going for. I added a little charm I picked up ages ago (I think from Michaels) and also used some branch punches courtesy of Martha Stewart, and that is just about it! Oh yeah...the sentiment is computer generated.

That's it for me today! Please be sure and visit Papertake Weekly to see the rest of the fabulous designers creations! Then grab your paper and glue and join us in the challenge for a chance to win a fabulous prize from Simon Says Stamp! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Magnolia-licious blog hop Nautical - Sail away with me!

Hi everyone! I sure hope you had a fabulous weekend, and today, Magnolia-licious is having a nautical themed blog hop! How fun! Especially with all the adorable nautical themed stamps that Magnolia has released lately! If you arrived here from the amazingly talented Janiel, then you're on the right track. If not, you will want to go back to the start with the uber talented Cheryl! If you lose your way, just go to Magnolia-licious Highlites to continue on your journey through the hop.   I chose to use one of the cutest Edwins that I think they've ever released. He's Dangling Sea Edwin from the brand new "Bon Voyage" collection which is available for preorder right now at Magnolia-licious!  I also used #413 Pelican, and #739 "The tide always turns" sentiment. As soon as I received this Edwin, I knew I wanted to put him on a boat shaped easel card.

And fortunately, I had the perfect shaped card to accomplish that task!! The Cutting Cafe' has this adorable sail boat shaped card, so I just cut it out and turned it into an easel card. EASY PEASY!! Isn't it too cute?? It even comes with an envelope template!  I knew I couldn't use a paper with a busy pattern because Edwin would just get lost in the background. So I picked a nice and simple red and white polka dot digital paper along with some white and blue Bazzil cardstock to stay in the nautical theme.

When I made the easel card, because the top portion of the card is the narrow mast, I wanted to reinforce it so it wouldn't sag down from all the weight of the card front. So I just cut four strips of heavy cardstock that were a little narrower than the mast, glued them on top of each other, and attached it to the back of the card. It worked perfectly and added a lot of strength to the card. The stamps are colored with Copic markers, and Edwin is popped up from the card with dimensional tape.

Finally, I added a big white button topped off with a red gingham bow for the easel to rest against. That was it! Now for some fun stuff! If you would like to win a Bow Easy plus an assortment of May Arts silk ribbon (same ribbon I use on almost all my cards), then please leave a comment on this post before midnight Pacific on Saturday, Aug 7th. I will pick and post a winner on Sunday, Aug 8th. Now it's time to hop on over to the fabulously talented Suzanne! I'm sure she's got an amazing project for your viewing pleasure! Thanks so much for hopping with us today! Hope to see you again soon! Hugs!

Wags 'n Whiskers - In Stitches

Hello everyone and happy Friday!!! Yay! It's time for the weekend! And it's time for a new Wags 'n Whiskers challenge! This week, it's brought to us by the super talented Melanie! The challenge is stitching on your project, either real or faux. For my card today, I chose to use one of the adorable images from the new release of Party Time! She's called "Millie with Cupcake".  The sentiment I used comes with another Wags 'n Whiskers stamp called "Purrfect Day".  I soooo love every image in this collection. And the really cool part is they're digital, so if you want, you can buy her now and make a card for this challenge right away! Don't you love the instant gratification you get with digital stamps? She's colored with Copic markers and then placed on a frame I made with a Martha Stewart punch around the page set.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the ribbon is white May Arts silk ribbon from Stamp and Create. I used the Bow Easy to make it. Now I've had soooo many wonderful comments about my bows from a lot of you. So I made a pictorial on how I make them with the bow easy. It's posted today over at the Stamp and Create blog today, and I would love for you to check it out and let me know what you think! I buy all my silk ribbon from Stamp and Create!  Lacey has a fabulous supply of other gorgeous ribbons and lace as well!

Please be sure and check out all the fabulous creations from the rest of the Wags 'n Whiskers Divas! They are all so talented and I truly admire each and every one of them!

Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Papertake Weekly Cutie Patootie!!

Well, we made it through Monday! :) And now it's time for a new challenge from Dawny over at Papertake Weekly. This challenge is Cutie Patootie and we're being sponsored by Digital Delights!! So anything goes for this challenge as long as it's cute!!  I chose to use this cutie patootie baby elephant from Squigglefly colored with Copic markers. .

Papers are from Nitwit  and sentiment is computer generated. Ribbons, buttons, and pearls are from Stamp and Create. Please be sure and visit Papertake Weekly to see the gorgeous creations by the rest of the designers, then we'd love it if you'd join us in the challenge by showing us your own cutie patootie!! Stamp and Create Summer Fun week two and a Kraftin Kimmie stamp

Hi everyone! I hope you had a fabulous weekend!! Today is week two of summer being in the Products Spotlight over at Stamp and Create. All summer stamps are on sale for up to 25% off Lacey's already low price!!! WOOHOO!!! This week, I chose to play with Mae, a cute stamp from  Kraftin Kimmie. Also used  are Basic Grey Sugar Rush paper, May Arts silk ribbon along with the Bow Easy and a butterfly charm, Kaiser pearls, and Stickles.   I edged both sides of the card using a Martha Stewart border punch , then covered those butterflies with some Stickles. Oh! Forgot to say that Mae is colored using Copic markers.  skin is E00 and E02, dress is B60, B62, and B66, hat is Y15, Y17, and Y19, and the grass is G21, G24, and YG67.  I used chalk around the image. If you do this, be sure not to use Copic markers on top of the chalk. It will ruin your nib. (if you happen to do this, don't throw the marker away! The nibs are replaceable!)

Please be sure and pop over to Stamp and Create and check out Lacey's fabulous supply of goodies. Then we'd love it if you'd join us at the Stamp and Create blog to play along with this months challenge which is any kind of stitching on your project! Be sure to take a peek at the amazing creations the rest of the designers came up with for the Product Spotlight this week. Their talent always blows me away!!!!  Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!!!

New teapot files from The Cutting Cafe!

Happy Saturday! Hope you're enjoying your weekend and that your weather is fabulous! I threw together an adorable card with a couple new files that are available over at The Cutting Cafe'. I used the new Teapot shaped cards which comes with two different shaped teapots. And then I used the Tea Time images for the circle sentiment. I just sized it to fit the way I wanted it to, and then cut it out with circle Nestabilities. That's the most awesome part about digital stamps! You can make them any size you need. I cut the heart using my Cricut and Plantin Schoolbook cartridge through my fabulous Gypsy. And then glued a teapot charm in the center of it. I also hung a cherry charm from the bow made with May Arts Silk Ribbon. If you haven't been over to The Cutting Cafe' for a while, you must go see all the fabulous new images Regina has available now! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you again soon! Hugs!

Stamp and Create - new monthly challenge

Hi everyone! Well, it's back to the normal world for me, now. My grandson has left to go back to KY, I'm now back to work, and I'm trying to get settled back into my normal routine again. It's time for a new monthly challenge from Stamp and Create. The new challenge is STITCHING/SEWING, which can be hand, faux, or machine stitching.

For my card, I used High Hopes stamp Cheeky Sean and Smile Popcorn Bear for the seniment. Isn't he the cutest?? He's colored with Copic Sketch markers. There's lots of machine stitching on the panels, and even some faux stitching on the sentiment panel that was done with a marker. I also used Ivory May Arts Silk Ribbon along with the Bow Easy; a heart charm, a large flower spacer and a Basic Grey brad for the center of it.  Please join us over at Stamp and Create's blog to play along with the challenge for a chance to win an awesome prize from Lacey. Thanks for stopping by to see me, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Magnolia-licious DT July challenge

Hi everyone! As a lot of you know, I've had my grandson here visiting with me for the past month. He's gone home now, and I'm busy trying to get back in the swing of things. We had a wonderful visit, and I miss him terribly already. I love these nice long visits in the summertime during his school break. They wear me out, but it's worth every minute. So on to my card...it's time for a new challenge from the Magnolia-licious Design Team. This month, it's Suzanne's turn, and she had us do a free standing pop-up card. These are soooo COOL!! I love it and will just have to make another. You can find the link to the instructions on how they're made over at the Magnolia-licious Hightlites blog.

For my card, I used the following stamps from Magnolia-licious: #256 Tilda in Swimsuit, along with #512 swing, and the sign is also Magnolia, but I don't see it in stock right now. If you're interested, please email Diana and she'll be happy to help you! All stamps are colored with my Copic markers and Tilda is popped up from the tag for dimension. I hope you play along with the challenge! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!
