Delightful Challenges - purple, green, and black color challenge!

Hi everyone! It's almost Friday! YAY! And since it's Thursday, that means it's time for a new challenge from Delightful Challenges!  We are sponsored this week by Kut 4 U.  Our challenge is to use the colors purple, green, and black. I threw a few other colors in there, but for the majority of the card, those are definitely my main colors. I used Frankie Ridley along with the haunted house from the Halloween Accessory Set.

The fence is cut with my Cricut Expression from the Paper Dolls cartridge. I honestly can't remember if it was Everyday or Dress Up. See what happens when you use the Gypsy and don't have to dig out all those cartridges anymore? LOL! Anyway, I curved the fence out from the card, so they're attached to the card on both sides, and then curved out through the center of the fence.  Please be sure to visit Delightful Challenges to see what the rest of my talented DT sisters came up with for this challenge. And don't forget to hop over HERE to see the Digital Delights DT have come up with for today as well. Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Hi everyone! I'm back from my wonderful weekend away with hubby, and I contracted a nasty cold in the process. I was so disappointed to be sniffling, sneezing, and feeling bad while we were in San Francisco. Today has been the worst day yet, so I'm hoping tomorrow will be better as I am back to work. Please forgive me for any typos that might be contained in this post as I'm surely not functioning at 100%. With it being Tuesday, it's time for a new challenge from Dawny at Papertake Weekly, and this week she did something different and fun! Today it's an inspirational challenge and we're being sponsored by the fabuous Katharina at Whiff of Joy! Take a look at this photo and let it inspire you in some way with your project. Whether it be colors, shapes, whatever. Just let your creative self be free and create!

For my card, I chose to use #277 Bon Voyage Tilda from the Bon Voyage Collection available at Magnolia-licious! Every stamp in this collections is so adorable! She's colored with Copic markers and then popped up from the card for dimension. The card shape itself was cut with my Cricut and Wild Card cartridge along with the Hi which was cut with the Mickey Font cartridge.

I think you can tell I took my inspiration from the colors in the picture using lots of pinks and purples.  The heart Tilda is sitting in is cut with Nestabilities. The cardstock is Bazzill and the paper is digital from Bearly Mine Designs.  Of course I had to use the May Arts silk ribbon to make the bow and the flower is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Papertake Weekly sketch week!

Hi everyone! Hope you enjoyed your weekend! I love long weekends, don't you? It's back to work today, but for three days only for me this week. On Friday I'll be enjoying myself with a weekend away with hubby over in San Francisco. But today, it's time for a new challenge from Dawny over at Papertake Weekly, and this week it's a sketch challenge! We're being sponsored by the fabulous Katharina at Whiff of Joy.

For my card today, I used this beautiful Magnolia stamp from Magnolia-licious. #301 Tilda with Umbrella from the Bon Voyage collection. I thought she was perfect for a shower card! She's colored with Copic markers and then cut out and popped up off the card front with dimensional tape. The frame she's on was cut with my Cricut Expression from the Storybook cartridge. There is no shadow feature, but using the Gypsy, I just reduced/enlarged the size twice with that little slider feature and voila, a shadow!

The DP are Basic Grey Porcelain line, and the cardstock is Bazzill.  I created the sentiment with my MS Word program and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts with some added diamond Stickles and a couple branches from a Martha Stewart punch. The panels are all machine stitched , and I added a bow made from May Arts silk ribbon and an umbrella charm. The center border was created using a Martha Stewart border punch.

Please be sure to visit Papertake Weekly to see the rest of the fabulous creations by my awesomely talented design team sisters, then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and join us in the challenge for a chance to win a fabulous prize from Whiff of Joy! I cut it with a base of Bazzill cardstock, and then cut the front with polka dot paper from PTI. Reginal also just released an awesome new set called You're in my thoughts greetings inside and out. Wow! This set contains 65 sentiments for both the inside and out of your cards!! AWESOME! Be sure to check it out! WOOHOO! It's Friday and a three day weekend! YAHOO!! That means it's time for a new challenge from Wags 'n Whiskers (yep...we're now back to weekly challenges!). This week's challenge is by the very talented Tracy, and she's asking us to use glitter on our projects.  For my card, I chose to use this adorable image called Toby's Tasty Treat! Wish I could balance a cupcake on my tail. Well....come to think if it, I guess I kinda do....especially since that's exactly where it goes when I eat one! Oh dear...I just noticed that one of my pearls fell off the flourish before I took this picture! So sorry for the hole, but it's fixed now! Toby is colored with Copic markers. The sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe', and the gorgeous silk ribbon, charm,  and pink pearls are from Stamp and Create.  Cardstock is Bazzill and DP are from Nitwits.  I used diamond Stickles on Toby's hat and around the sentiment as well.  Please be sure and visit the rest of my Diva sisters  to check out their fabulous creations!!  Then we'd love it if you'd play along with us in the challenge. Digital Delights - September release!!!

Happy Thursday everyone!! Guess what! It's time for a new release of adorable Halloween images from Digital Delights by Louby Loo  along with a brand new challenge from Delightful Challenges!! This weeks challenge from Wendy is "Show us those Halloween cards"!  Is this not the sweetest little trick or treater you've ever seen? She truly is too cute to spook! Her name is Pumpkin Lara and she's available right now over at Digital Delights! The sentiment is from the new Halloween Sentiment Set . I just printed it out on my cardstock and cut around the oval. Easy Peasy!! Those cute little bats up in the left hand corner was cut from the image Ghost Billy and his bat balloons which is available on the Holidays and Seasons DVD Volume 1. I just used those cute bats!

Pumpkin Lara and the bats are colored with Copic markers, and then cut out and popped up off the card front for dimension. The fence is from a Martha Stewart border punch, and that spooky castle was cut with my Cricut Expression and Paper Dolls Dress Up cart. That glorious black bow (hidden behind the watermark) was made using May Arts silk ribbon and the fabulous Bow Easy. Please be sure and check out all the wonderful images available at Digital Delights, and don't forget to take a good gander at what the rest of the awesome Design Team has come up with, too!! Then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and join us in the challenge! I can't wait to see what you come up with! Hugs!

September Magnolia-licious Design Team challenge

WOW! September 1st, can you believe it??!! I've got a lot going on in the next couple of weeks. I am FINALLY going to a Copic Certification class over in Oakland, CA on the 11th!! YAY!!! I'm so excited! If anyone has any advice on what I should take with me for the class, I would greatly appreciate it! AND, then my LSS Scrapbook Paradise asked me to teach my very first card class and it's all set up for Oct 7th!!!!! I'm so jazzed I can hardly stand it!  LOL!  Ok...back on track...sorry bout chatting so much!  :)  With today being Sept 1st, it's time for a new Magnolia-licious sketch challenge. This month, the awesomely talented Becca Feeken is hosting us! And instead of a card sketch, Becca issued us a challenge to make either a backpack or a suitcase along with a Bon Voyage image. You can find the links for the tutorials over at Magnolia-licious Highlites. Needless to say, when I saw the backpack (soooo cute!) took 31 steps to complete, I chose to make the suitcase! LMBO! It was so quick and easy and it's the most adorable way to give a gift card! I love it!!!

For my card, I used #229 Cowgirl Tilda (currently out of stock on reorder),  #431 cactus#505 travel sign, #620 ticket,  and #738 See you later.  They're all colored with Copic markers, and all but the sign are cut out and some of them are popped up for dimension. Cardstock is Bazzill and DP are digital downloads from Nitwit Collections. I snagged some cable cord from my hubby's stash and used it for rope. There is machine stitching around the outside of the card and I also added a couple punched borders courtesy of a MS border punch. I kept the suitcase rustic so it would go with the western theme, and I could just imagine the clasp being broken and them tying it closed with some rope.  All the stamps I used are from the Bon Voyage collection which is available at Magnolia-licious.

So that's it for me today! Please be sure and pop over to Magnolia-licious Highlites and see what my amazing DT sisters did for this challenge. And then grab those Tilda's and make your own for a chance to win a prize! I can't wait to see what you come up with! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again tomorrow for the new release of Digital Delights images! They're too cute for words!
Hugs!
