Papertake Weekly - Sketch Week

Hi everyone! I'm soooo excited cause we're actually getting some spring weather instead of blizzards! LOL! It was sunny all day yesterday and in the 50's, and then we're supposed to be in the high 70's by Friday! It might rain next weekend, but I don't care! It's still not going to be yucky snow! LOL! Moving on from the weathr report, it's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly!! We get to play with one of Dawny's fabulous sketches, and we are sponsored this week by the wonderful Simon Says Stamp!

For my card,  I used one of Peggy's cute Easter Cutouts from Peggy Loves Vintage. It's so very easy to make cards using her images! You just print one out, mat it, and attach it to your card! I think I've said it before, about the only way it's going to get any easier is to walk into a store and buy a card! Be sure and visit Peggy's blog and become a follower! She loves to give away free images!!

Cardstock is Bazzill, DP is from Nitwit Collections, flowers are Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is May Arts 100% silk from Stamp and Create. I added machine stitching and popped up each individual panel. Sorry I didn't get a pic of the dimension this time.  Please be sure and visit Papertake Weekly to see the rest of my talented teamies creations. Then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon!
hugs!

Spring Fun

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a fabulous weekend! The wind here is blowing like crazy and it's supposed to be bringing in another storm. I just hope that whatever it brings, it's in the form of rain, NOT snow! I'm DONE with snow for thise year! LOL! Although I know that it's still way too early for us to be expecting that. Enough about the cruddy weather! LOL!  I've had fun working on this card, but I'm still not sure if I like the way it turned out. Something is just "off" with it. *sigh*  It doesn't seem quite balanced to me. Oh well...they can't all be home runs, right? I couldn't get a decent pic of it either. This one is too dark, and the last one below is just too light.

Isn't she so cute carrying that precious little ladybug? She was fun to color. This is a Sassy Cheryl's digi image called Gentle Friends. She's colored with Copic Markers (listed below) and then cut out with oval Nesties and petite scalloped oval Nesties. I used a multi-liner to draw the horizon.

This angle shows the dimension (I do truly love lots of dimension on a card). I'm entering this into Sassy Cheryl's challenge 55 which calls for "something new". I used my new Cricut cartridge "Create A Critter" for the cloud. (only 27.99 at Hallmark Scrapbook!!) I just cut it in half and chalked around the edges. I also cut the fence out with the Expression as well, but I used my Gypsy and can't remember which cartridge is was from. Sorry! The butterflies are from an EK Success punch and I covered them with Diamond Stickles and added some Kaiser half backed pearls. The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. The DP is Tippy Toes from Nitwit Collections and the cardstock is Bazzill.

That's it for me today! Sure hope your weather is a lot better than what we're having right now. But I guess it's not too bad since I get to stay inside and craft! :-)  Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon!  Hugs!!

Entered in Sassy Cheryl's challenge #55 - Use something new (Create a Critter Cricut cartridge)

Copics used:
dress, socks, and shoes: R81, 83, 85, 89
dress trim: Y15 and YG13
hair: E21 and 25
skin: E11 and 00
ladybug: R24 and 27
flower: V91, 93, and 95
grass: YG11 and 13
sky: B000

Peggy Loves Vintage - Easter card with Vintage Image

Hi friends!! Hope you're having a wonderful week! I'm tickled pink that I'm getting some Easter cards done and actually finished on the inside so I can mail them out on time!! Can you believe I'm still sticking to my New Years resolution to complete the inside of my cards before I put them away? I'm so proud of myself!! LOL!  Todays card features an adorable vintage image from none other than the fabulous Peggy from Peggy Loves Vintage!! She's got some new cutouts in her shop that feature fabulous Easter/Spring images! If you've never used Peggy's images before, you'll be amazed at how quickly you can make a wonderful card. You just choose your image, print it whatever size you want to fit your card,  mat it, and then embellish your card however you want to.

For my card today, I matted this adorable image on Bazzill cardstock, and the DP is from Basic Grey Green at Heart. The frame they're on was created using a Nestability die, and a Fiskars punch was used for the vertical panel down the left. It's a smaller size, but the shape is the same as the Nestie.  The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts and I used a Martha Stewart branch punch around them. I topped it off with a new Magnolia sentiment and a bow with a bunny charm, and called her done.

Please be sure and pop by Peggy Loves Vintage to check out her new Easter/Spring cutouts, or if you prefer, you can visit her on Ebay, or on her Web store.  Be sure to check out her blog too and become a follower! She LOVES to give away free vintage images!  Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Papertake Weekly - It's a Mom (Mum) thing

Hi friends and happy Tuesday! It's time for a new challenge over at Papertake Weekly, and this weeks challenge from Dawny is It's a Mom Thing!  She is asking us to make a card for your Mom, or just make a girly card! We are sponsored this week by Digital Delights by Louby Loo. The card I'm showing you today is one I made almost a month ago for my blogging friend Charlene.

I used the adorable #293 Tilda with a Small Gift from the You Are So Special collection at Magnolia-licious.  She's colored with Copic markers. Sorry...it's been so long since I've colored this, I don't remember everything I used. But I do know I used RV91, 93, and 95 for her dress and socks.  The papers are Basic Grey and the cardstock is Bazzill. I also used the Vintage Tag Doohickey Die.

The flowers are from WOC and the bow was made using the Bow Easy and May Arts silk ribbon.

So that's it for me today! Please be sure and pop over to Papertake Weekly to see all the wonderful creations from the rest of my teamates. Then we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue and play along with us! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Magnolia-licious blog hop - Easter Extravaganza Contest!!!

Good morning and happy Monday! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! It's time for a blog hop to celebrate the amazing Easter Extravaganza Contest that is going on right now over at Magnolia-licious Highlites!! If you haven't been over there to check it out, I have to ask what are you waiting for?? Diana is offering up the most amazing prizes ever!!! There are three different categories, and you can enter one project for each challenge. That gives you three different chances to win prizes! Be sure to check out all the details over on the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog!  To celebrate this contest, the Magnolia-licious Design Team and the Magnolia-licious Challenge Design Team have joined together to have this blog hop. All the projects are spring themed, and we hope we can inspire you to enter the contest. If you made your way here from the fabulously talented Chrissy, then you are on the right track. If not, then you'll want to go back to Magnolia-licious Highlites blog so you don't miss out on any of the fabulous eye candy the Design Teams
have to offer you. (I'm sure there's probably a little bit of blog candy along the way too)  For my card today, I chose to represent category #1 - Full sized Magnolia images on an Easter/Spring Themed card.

I used the following stamps from Magnolia-licious #363 Tilda and her bunny, #560 Wheelbarrow, #449 Big Hoppy (LOVE this stamp!!!),  and Happy Easter sentiment stamp which is also new with the Butterfly Dreams collection. But I don't see it up for sale at Magnolia-licious right now.  The images are colored with Copic markers (I really do not like how her shirt came out - but just didn't have time to recolor another one. So sorry for the bad work!)  I masked off the wheelbarrow and airbrushed the sky. (colors listed below). Both Tilda with her bunny and Big Hoppy are fussy cut and popped up for dimension. I also added machine stitching and a cute little bunny charm (sorry I have a huge collection of charms and can't remember where I got these).

I colored the three Kaiser pearls to match the copics used on the card, and the bow is made using the Bow Easy and May Arts silk ribbon. The inside is simply finished off with matching paper. Now it's time to hop on over and see what my extremely talented design team sister and friend Barb has to show you! But before you go, be sure to leave me a comment on this post before midnight on Friday night, March 25th for your chance to win a $20.00 gift certificate to Magnolia-licious!! Thanks so much for participating in our blog hop today, and hope to see your entry to the contest over at Magnolia-licious Highlites!! Hugs!!

Exactly what are YOU looking at??!! Sassy Cheryl's Wanna Be a Bunny

Oh my gosh, this card was so much fun to make! I knew as soon as I laid my eyes on this Sassy Cheryl's stamp,  Wanna Be a Bunny, exactly what I was going to do with her! Isn't she about the cutest thing you've ever seen???!!! She's colored with Copic markers (my very favorite blues and pinks) and then I fussy cut her out and she's popped up from the oval Nestie. The sentiment is one I came up with myself and printed it out on my computer.

I just colored the grass in with Copics as well. All the panels are machine stitched and popped up for lots of dimension on the card. The bow is made using the Bow Easy and May Arts silk ribbon. The charm was a gift from Diana at Magnolia-licious. Cardstock is Bazzill and the DP is Hoppy Hearts from Nitwit Collections.

That's it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today,  and I hope to see you back again soon! Have a fabulous weekend! Hugs!

There's lots of dimension as each panel is popped up from the one under it. All three panels are machine stitched, and Superduper boy is fussy cut and popped up from the oval Nestie. The stars were cut with the Expression using the Gyspsy and George cartridge. The twine was just wrapped around the panel and then tied in a bow.

I also used an old Martha Stewart border punch along the bottom half. First, here are the colors used for the card. Then scroll on down to find the winner of Tilda with Hanging Rabbit! Good luck!!

Papertake Weekly - Trio-Tastic

Happy Tuesday everyone! It's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly, and this week the challenge it Trio-Tastic. Dawny is asking that you use three of something on your card/project ie shapes, papers, flowers, whatever you want.  We are sponsored this week by The Ribbon Girl!  I used three colors (red, white, black) and two clusters of three flowers each.  For my card, I used one of the new Magnolia images from the brand new Butterfly Dreams collection. She's be available soon at  Magnolia-licious !  Be sure to check out this adorable collection as there are some that are available for purchase right now!

She's so cute and so versatile as you can have her looking at whatever you want! I chose to have her looking at the adorable Magnolia ladybug image. Unfortunately I don't see it in stock right now either, but if you're interested, please contact Diana.  The images are colored with Copic markers. Cardstock is Bazzill and the PP are one of the first digital papers I ever got. Since it was my first, it was before I was smart enough to save them under the name of the company I got it from. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the sentiment is just printed from my computer.

Paper Smooches by Kim Hughes

Hi everybody and happy Friday Eve! I am a huge Kim Hughes fan, and I'm so excited as she is producing stamps for her very own shop called Paper Smooches! Isn't that the cutest name?!! This adorable birdie is from her set called Birthday Buddies. Love it!  I colored it with Copic markers to match the papers which are from an old DCWV stack called Sweet.

The birdhouse was cut with my Gypsy and Expression using the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge which you can get for  a mere 19.99 over at Hallmark Scrapbook right now!!!  I have been puchasing from them since I bought my Cricut years ago, and you will NOT find better service anywhere! And I'm not being paid or compensated to say that either. Try them, I promise you will love them!  All the cardstock is Bazzill and the May Arts silk ribbon is from Stamp and Create.

The birdie was cut out with circle and petite scalloped Nesties, and both it and the birdhouse are popped up with dimensional tape for lots of dimension. That's it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! Have a great day! Hugs!

Papertake Weekly - Lemon Zingy with Peggy Loves Vintage

Good mornings friends! I hope you enjoyed your weekend and are now having a wonderful start to the new week! I'm always happy once we've made it past Monday! LOL! Not only because we have Monday behind us, but because it's now time for a new Papertake Weekly challenge! Wow, we sure had a wonderful turnout to last weeks challenge! Thanks so much to everyone for all your participation and support! Because of you, we are #1 at Wikio again this week! YAY!!! How wonderful is that!!  So anyway, onto the new challenge! It's Pancake Day over in the UK,  so Dawny wants to see lots of lemon, or any zingy colors you want to use. And we are sposored by my fabulous sis over at Peggy Loves Vintage!  You can also visit Peggy's blog. Be sure and follow, cause she LOVES to post freebie vintage images!

Peggy's Bio:
Hi, I'm lucky enough to be a retired grandma who spends her days working with my vintage card collection.

My husband and I have shared 35 years together and we have 2 sons and a daughter and 2 glorious grandkids ages 2 and 5.

I started collecting vintage cards quite by accident. I was helping with my aunts estate sale and ran across her collection. The cards were so wonderful that I fell in love with them and have been collecting them ever since.

I love to get a new vintage scrapbook and read all about the lives and times of the individual. Some of their stories are truely inspiring.

Isn't she adorable??!! She's from Peggy Loves Vintage and is available on two different set of Cut Outs. It's in Goldilocks and the Three Bears as well as Sweet Little Girls 2. I printed her out three times. I put two on the front, one popped up from the other for dimension. I used the third on the inside by the sentiment panel. The cardstock is Bazzill and I used two different sets of Pink Petticoat papers, Gingham and Lots of Dots.

I added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, ribbon is from Stamp and Create, charm is a gift,  and I used Nesties for the frame that she is standing in. Oh my gosh, I almost forgot. The doily peeking out from behind was cut with my Cricut and the Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art cart. I can't believe all the fabulous cuts on this cart. It has doilies! Loooove it!! The glittered heart is by Melissa Frances. That's it for my card today! Please be sure and visit Papertake Weekly to see the rest of the fabulous creations by the amazingly talented design team! And then we'd love it if you'd join us with your zingy colored projects! You might get lucky and win a prize from Peggy Loves Vintage! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

Magnolia-licious DT sketch challenge for March

Hi everybody! I'm a little tardy posting my sketch challenge for the Magnolia-licious Design Team sketch challenge for March.  This month, the hostess with the mostest is the wickedly talented Janny! She has given us a recipe challenge with a twist! It's to make a frame card/project  using at least one each of the following items:
Magnolia image
ribbon/trim
flower
pearls/bling

Fun stuff, huh?? I used one of those cheap frames available at Michael's and painted it white. I then covered it in Magnolia paper from the Bon Voyage collection from Magnolia-licious. I had a lot of fun making this one. :)

I used various cuts from my Cricut to set the scene for this adorable Tilda from the brand new Butterfly Dreams collection. Some of these stamps are still in stock and available over at Magnolia-licious, so hurry over to grab them now!! Along with her, I used #406 Little Birds#421 sun, and the swirls are a Magnolia Doohickey die.

Tilda is colored with Copic markers and I cut the basket out of her hand cause I just didn't think she needed it in this little scene. The fence, tree, and flowers were all cut with my Cricut Expression using my Gypsy. The only cartridge that I can remember is the Create a Critter. Sorry, if you need to know where the tree and fence came from, just send me an email and I'll figure it out for you.  I sure hope you pop over to Magnolia-licious Highlites to check out all the details, see the rest of the talented DT creations, and then join us in the challenge! Thnks so much for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon!! Hugs!!

Papertake Weekly - Anything goes with Lili of the Valley

Hi friends! Hope you're having a wonderful start to your week! So what do you think? Is March going to come in like a lion and go out like a lamb? Or will it be just the opposite? Guess we won't know for sure until it's all over. But I sure hope it comes in AND goes out like a lamb! LOL! I don't want too much, do I?!!!  With it being Tuesday, it's time for a new challenge from Papertake Weekly, and this week is your favorite - Anything Goes!! We're beeing sponsored by Lili of the Valley. For my card, I used Little Ballerina. Isn't she so adorable? I also used Dreamy Sentiments for the circle sentiment.

She's colored with Copic markers and then cut out with a Nestie. The papers are Tippy Toes from Nitwit Collections, and the cardstock is Bazzill. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon from Stamp and Create. I also have a Magnolia Doohickey doily peeking out from under the panel as well. The panels are machine stitched.

That's it for my card today! Please visit Papertake Weekly to see the rest of the gorgeous creations by the amazing design team, and we'd love it if you'd grab your paper and glue to play along with us! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and  hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!
